visiting the witchy store, winter and imbolc

I haven't been to the local witchy store in quite sometime.. and when I say local, I mean thirty minutes away local. This is semi ridiculous, considering I live in a huge area that contains city, after city, after city.. and we have ONE metaphysical shop. seriously!!

So, I told hubby (and don't laugh) that I wanted to do something witchy today. Although I live my life everyday as a follower of the God and Goddess, some days I need an extra hit of witchiness. I am just in the mood! Alas, it is too cold to plant anything or work in the yard... nothing will survive if I plant it...would I be considered a bad witch for planting fake flowers??... and the next sabbat is too far away to be plan anything. So visiting the witchy store, is what we have planned for today. We may also visit hobby lobby to look at the candle making goodies. I purchased items to make candles once and it turned out terribly! Hubby has volunteered to assist me, because he is much better at these sort of crafty things than I am. I am more of the wreath -making-kinda-craft-girl. I am not good with dangerous this. i.e: melting something to make wax!!

In party news:
I am planning a girls night here pretty soon, to beat the winter blues. I am excited to see my friends, make dinner, and drink a fabulous bottle of wine watch my friends drink wine. I love having girls' night!!

Imbolc is a little far to plan for, but last year it became one of my favorite sabbats to celebrate. I made priapic wands, attempted to make candles and decorated my very first altar with store bought daisies and a yellow altar cloth (made from a yellow scarf). It was such a pretty altar and happy time (thinking the spring was around that corner) that I fell in love with the sabbat. ...Then we got hit with the worse ice storm i'd ever experienced in my 20 something years of texas life and got iced in for 6 days... it.was.AWESOME!!

Well, i've taken a look around my house, and perhaps my domestic witchery needs a bit of attention before I set out on my witchy quest. My clothes are starting to pile up!

happy saturday! :)
