I'm just another twenty something, newly married, fashion loving, working gal trying to cook up a bit of magick in the kitchen and in life!

housework, hot weather and halloween

I have to disagree with the christmas song, because I think that THIS is BY FAR the most wonderful time of the year. While, here in the south its still hotter than hell which really isn't very fally, I choose to be cheery and overlook that small detail.
----I LOVE FALL!!----
I love going to the grocery stores and seeing the baking aisles displayed, pumpkins and haystacks at the entrance and signs all over town for fall carnivals or rummage sells. I love the fact that shortly I should be able to wear a pair of jeans and a sweater, that I will be able to go for a walk with my little pumpkin in the stroller (this is wishful thinking..stupid texas weather), and that I can dress her in halloween PJs nightly! I love putting up my fall scene in the front yard, putting  a jackolantern in the window and lighting pumpkin candles.
---I JUST LOVE IT ALL!!---
How are you celebrating this fall season?

Today im doing lots of housework, not focusing on the hot weather and trying to enjoy the fact that October/Halloween are right around the corner (without worrying too much about my ever approaching back to work date). If the weather wasn't so gross, I'd open the windows to clear away some of the mental grime that is with me daily... but thats a whole other story. My halloween decorations went up two days ago, orange lights around my windows and all. My neighbors think I'm weird... but thats nothing new!

I've been noticing mother moon a lot more frequently these days. Perhaps it is because I am a mother myself? I am thankful for her protection and now know the great job that comes with being a mother. It sometimes hurts your heart to love and protect something so much...

I hope you all had a very blessed Mabon!! I am sorry that this post finds you late! :(

peace, love and pumpkins
