I thought maybe I would start with something easy!I got this yummy punch recipe from a very dear friend. I usually serve the chilled version with the rum in the summertime, however, friend serves it hot without the rum in the winter!
Pineapple-Cranberry-Spiced Punch
1 jug cranberry juice cocktail
1 can pineapple juice
Water
1 cup brown sugar
Dash of Cinnamon- for spirituality
Dash of Clove- for protection and love
Directions for the Chilled Version:
Mix cranberry juice and pinneapple juice together in a pitcher. Fill the cranberry juice container half way full with water and mix with the juices. Mix in cup of brown sugar. Chill. When served, sprinkle with a dash of cinnamon, dash of clove, and a shot or rum as desired. (I don't like to mix the rum in the pitcher, in case someone prefers to drink without!)
Hot Version:
Mix juices, water and brown sugar as described above into a coffee percolator, or a big pot which will be heated. Sprinkle your dash of cinnamon and clove into the pot, or onto the top of the percolator (where you put the coffee grinds). Heat and serve! You can add the shot of rum here too, if desired! :)
**Make sure before serving the chilled version/reheating the hot version to stir your punch- the brown sugar settles at the bottom
