I'm just another twenty something, newly married, fashion loving, working gal trying to cook up a bit of magick in the kitchen and in life!

time?

Part of the reason I feel I have never been religious, in any way, is because of time. Between a very stressful job, being a newlywed, making time for my family and now in the middle of a move, its hard to find the time! I so badly want to be loyal and diligent in some way to this new path I choose to follow, but how do I get there?

I'm trying my hardest to make time for mediation daily as well as some research time. Although now I'm feeling its time for me to really get something started, rather than constantly researching!!!

How did you get started? What was the first thing you did on your new path?

-Perhaps I'm reading too much into this... maybe I've already begun my pagan lifestyle and don't really know it yet! ;)

I still haven't even really gotten started. I try to meditate before bed, but I don't always get to. I'll take candlelit baths and think/meditate.

Any time I'm cooking, the thought of kitchen witchery comes into my head and I say a silent invocation to the Lord and Lady to bless whatever I'm creating in the kitchen as I'm stirring.

That said, I didn't do my first true ritual until Imbolc.

There's so much to start with that it can be overwhelming. Personally, I'm trying to slide into it easily and slowly. For myself and my own sanity and because my fiancee isn't 100% supportive.

Brightest Blessings!

I'm sorry your fiance isn't supportive! My husband is agnostic, but my practicing doesn't bother him. I guess because he isn't sure what to believe, so my way isn't really wrong to him? He celebrate the sabbats with me.

I do the same thing in the kitchen. I'm trying to learn to work with different herbs for when you want to add a certain elements/thought to your cooking!
