I put some nature'esque music on pandora, lit my god and goddess candle and sat in lotus pose in front of my altar. I focused on clearing my mind using breathing imagrey I learned in yoga class. I breath in my problems/stresses as if an ocean wave is coming towards me, and with each exhale the problem gets further away from me. (Sometimes I do this at night too when I am trying to clear my mind and fall asleep.) After this I tried a little chant/poem/it might count as a prayer/blessing in my book, that I found online- This helped me acquire a positive and happy attitude and a light heart! :)
Following the Breath By Thich Nhat Hanh
Breathing in, I calm my body.
Breathing out, I smile.
Dwelling in the present moment,
I know this is a wonderful moment!
Breathing in, I know I’m breathing in.
Breathing out, I know
as the in-breath grows deep,
the out-breath grows slow.
Breathing in makes me calm.
Breathing out brings me ease.
With the in-breath, I smile.
With the out breath, I release.
Breathing in, there is only the present moment.
Breathing out, it is a wonderful moment.
Thats all for now, hopefully I will pick up new skills along the way! :)
