I'd always planned my life out by how old I would be and what year we'd be in when I'd get married or have children or buy a home...Four years ago in January, I was married to my amazing husband, but never thought we'd be able to afford a family or a home of our own. But 2013 was a fabulous year for us. My sweet husband got a wonderful promotion, that promoted me to part time "stay at home mommy". Because of him, I am able to stay home and mother our pumpkin baby, and watch everything I felt I had missed out on for the past year working full time. I also have found a part-time job that I adore. I never knew what it was like to LIKE going to work. I am so incredibly indebted to my husband for making my dreams come true in 2013.
...January is a time of reflection for me. I love January and February... its chilly and everything is quiet. I love to blog and sip coffee, research my spirituality and read a good historical novel. But this year we'll add in some winter time walks, and playing outside on those not so chilly days, finger painting, and exploring the sleeping earth. I am excited to share these moments with my little one. She can't understand quite yet, but I always point out the quiet earth when we are outside, and explain to her the return of the warmth which is sure to come soon. I am looking forward to sharing the celebration of Imbolc with her and looking for some signs of spring when these dark days are over!
I have most lovely life. So simple and so real... I am blessed.
cheers to a fabulous 2014 and the quiet winter days to come!!
