The Monday Blues

Oh Monday, you come too soon! However, this only means I am one more day closer to my summer vacation! woohoo!!!!!!!

Today I bought some string and accent beads to make bracelets for the loved ones in my family. I put them on my altar and prayed to the god and goddess to bless them with different things for each family member, my husband and a friend who is going through a tough time. Some of the things I prayed for the bracelets to be blessed with were strength, serenity, courage, calmness and relaxation. I hope that the bracelets will bring good fortune to my family and friends wearing them. They are red for luck.

I realize more and more each day, that being pagan is about what pagan means to you. There isn't a right way or a right kind of person to be pagan. If it fits with you, and you feel the urge to make bracelets for your family and bless them, then by golly that's what pagan is! I love that this type of spirituality is welcoming of differences like that!

On a different note...
I changed my blog title and http://. I knew the name I had picked was just a place holder until I found something that fit my unique my personality and this is definitely it! The Kitchen Witch Wears Prada. Now the thing is, I don't really own anything made by Prada... actually that's a lie. I have one knockoff prada bag. But thats about it!! (haha) I'm more of a bargin shopper, but love fancy handbags, killer heels and a cute pair of sunglasses. So anyway, I figured with the movie "Devil wears Prada" it would give you an idea of me. I love fashion and trendy things while staying true to myself. I'm definitely a bit different or some could say weird, but I've always known that. I love myself and my husband and family love me and thats all I need!!

I hope you have a very very blessed and happy Monday. I am counting down until Friday and my happy hour margaritas ;)
