I've been reading up on the next sabbat, and seen a lot of people talking about it on their blogs- but I have to admit... this is the sabbat that I know the least about! I always throw a dinner party to observe the sabbats, and since I know the least about this one, I need to start researching early! I have also recently realized that after Midsummer, I have been celebrating the sabbats for one whole year! :) I celebrated Lughnasadh last year as my very first sabbat with my husband and siblings.. :)
Back to Litha...
I undersand that its celebrated in June and that this is the longest day of the year and that you have some sort of summer gathering. And I know it has a lot to do with the faeries.
I always love ehow.com... I get some of my best party ideas from there! It may not be exactly correct or pagan enough. But for the beginner that I am- I think it has great suggestions! :)
I will let you know how my research turns out... I love witchy reserach!:)
peave, love and springtime..

Games are a good idea, like physical ones. The Olympics were originally held in June, around then, if I remember correctly. Or hiking. Ooh! What about a picnic instead of a dinner party, involving a hike on a trail. My family used to go blueberry picking in New Hampshire in August. Not sure if they have anything like that down here...
