weekend wonders

consisted of:

my friday friends for happy hour margaritas
a lunch date with my wonderful husband in the beautiful springtime weather
dinner, patio, and wine with my mama
taxes (eew)
a new lawn mower
yard work
and loving life!

This morning while cleaning, I made sure to open the windows and clean away the physical and mental dirt for the week. I said a silent prayer to the lord and lady and I thoughts happy thoughts for my week, your week and my family and friends' weeks! I hope you have a most blessed one! (... and a quick one too!)
While on the cleaning note, how do you get ready for the week? What thoughts/prayers do you think or say? Do you do an certain rituals? I'd love to add some new ideas to my cleaning day on sundays!

Tonight I am making a new pasta recipe I found online. I LOVE me some carbs! Will let you know how it turns out since I'm one of the worst cooks you'll ever meet!... uh, ever read I mean!

My schedule is typically too variable for me to pick a time to consider the beginning of my week and/or to do things on a certain day every week. The best way for me to get things done is just to do them whenever I'm able. I don't like it this way, but this technique will have to do for now.

I hope you like your pasta recipe! I'm making frozen burritos from scratch today. I got recipes for tortillas and refried beans from food.com the other day and am experimenting with other fillings like spinach and potatoes. I'm very excited to see how they turn out. I'm kind of on a mission to save money (I buy about 4 frozen burritos a week, the good kind, which runs me about $6). We go through tortillas like crazy, too, and it's expensive when you buy the healthy ones without chemicals in them.

Hi Elizabeth
I am a teacher so Sundays are a "getting ready" day for me! I'd like to try and clean a different room each day, but I am just too tired by the time I work, hit the gym, come home to shower, cook dinner and get ready for the next work day- Sunday seems to fit for now!

I love any mexican food! My work friends and I regularly hit the local mexican eatery for happy margaritas and burritos on Fridays! mmmmm I like zucchinni and mushroom in my burritos!

My pasta was okay- hubby liked it, but I thought it was kind of blah. It was a BBQ chicken pasta!!

Im glad to be visiting with you, friend!

peace, love and cupcakes!
