She's a historical figure, and I love her!
I read books, watch movies, and research all the time about...
Yes, you probably think I am lame.
Yes, other people love her
And many other people think she was very snarky in her day..
But I love her, and connect with her.
And I want to honor her on Samhain..
...Can I do that?

I don't see why not, Samhain to me is all about honoring the dead - whomever they may be. I honor my grandparents, and I never met some of them. I also will sometimes honor folks who aren't related to me or who were influential in some way. I say, honor those who impacted you, in whatever form that may have taken. :)
